All About Josh Lewis

JOSH LEWIS

There's a name for people like Josh Lewis. We call them fanatics. But in a good way.

Josh has lived for hockey - and the Toronto Maple Leafs - since he was a toddler.  In fact, we can reasonably assume that his home inside the womb was decorated with little posters of Wendel Clark, Rick Vaive and other members of the 1986-87 Leafs.

Despite his Habs-loving father being a bad influence, Josh's love for the blue and white grew as he aged. He doesn't like to admit it in social company, but Toronto's annual playoff runs from 1999 to 2004 were some of the best days of his life. And he will never forget Steve Thomas scoring in Game 5 in 2000 with the volume and brightness turned way down because it was past his bedtime.

After high school, Josh decided to chase his long-standing dream of becoming a top-notch hockey writer. The journey has been short so far, but it has provided him with many valuable experiences. He has had the opportunity to cover regional and national hockey events in print and broadcast, and his interviewees to date include Curtis Glencross of the Calgary Flames, Joel Ward of the Nashville Predators, Cherie Piper of Team Canada, U.S. Olympian Jenny Potter, Florida Panthers draft pick Bret Nasby and Dave Randorf of TSN.

Josh now covers sports for The Clarion in Kindersley, Saskatchewan. He is thrilled to continue his career doing something he loves as co-host of Leafs Talk Today.
