DEREK HARMSWORTH

Derek Harmsworth is just like everyone else, except he loves hockey.  In fact it consumes him.  Derek talks hockey just about non-stop and can always find a way to work hockey into a conversation.  

When he is lying in bed at night with his girlfriend, he is talking about a sweet goal he seen on Sportscentre.

When he is out for dinner with family, he can often be found re-arranging salt and pepper shakers along with silverware to explain the benefits of zone defense.

Yeah, it's that bad.

Having only been in the field of Sports Journalism for about a year, Derek Has risen to the top of the ranks at a metoric pace.  While he has written over 200 articles for Bleacher Report, his interviews with Hockey personalities, as well as hockey players themselves, are the ones he is most proud of.  

His rolodex (does anyone use those anymore?) is fastly being filled with the names of many of hockey's movers and shakers.

Derek writes on Bleacher Report from Monday-Friday every week and is the co-host of Leafs Talk Today on the YoucastR radio network.

He currently lives in a small town in Ontario, Canada.
